Puerto Rico

December 26 - 30, 2006

El Yunque
El Yunque is a small mountain in the northeastern region of Puerto Rico. It is part of the Caribbean National Forest.
Owned and operated by the U.S. Forest Service, this region is the only true rainforest in the national forest system. It receives more than 100 billion gallons of rainfall each year.

Fajardo Inn
The town of Fajardo can be found on the northeastern tip of the island. Located in a more remote region, it is less densely populated than San Juan, making it a good place to get away and relax.

My final stop on the island before returning home to the mainland.
