The North Shore

Oahu's famous North Shore contains some of the best beaches in Hawaii. It is also home to some of the best surfing spots anywhere, including the Bonzai Pipeline, Sunset Beach, and Waimea Bay.

Kamehameha Highway

Situated about one hour from the airport on the Kamehameha Highway (Highway 99), the North Shore is best reached by car or bus.

Hale'iwa

Hale'iwa is a historic town established along the North Shore by missionaries in 1899. Today, it is known for its surf culture and unconventional art shops featuring seascapes and surfing items.
