The Dole Plantation
James Dole established his pineapple plantation on Oahu in 1890. By the 1930's, Hawaii had become known as the pineapple capital of the world. Today, the company founded by Dole produces over 200,000 tons of pineapple a year. Pineapple is Hawaii's second largest industry, accounting for nearly 75 percent of the world's canned pineapple.

The Pineapple Express
The Pineapple Express is a two-mile long, 20 minute narrated train ride through the original plantation founded by James Dole over a century ago.

In addition to the train tour, the plantation consists of a garden tour, a large gift shop and food service area serving a variety of pineapple-flavored treats. Pineapple cutting demonstrations are featured daily.

World's Largest Maze
The plantation is also home to the world's largest garden maze. Officially recognized by the Guiness Book of World Records, the maze covers an area of more than 2 acres with a walking path 1.7 miles long.
